Why We All Should Be Feminists

Monday 18 January 2016

"The problem with gender is that it prescribes how we should be rather than recognizing how we are. Imagine how much happier we would be, how much freer to be our true individual selves, if we didn’t have the weight of gender expectations.” - Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

My Guide to University: The Initial Steps

Sunday 17 January 2016

I'm sure you're probably aware by now that yes, I did drop out of university. There are many reasons I did and if you want to read more about this then read my post here. With university tuition fees at a sky-high rate of £9000 a year (and talks of increasing in the near future) it's important that we make a well-informed decision about going to university. I thought I would share some handy tips I've learnt from going through the process of going to university.

So the lovely Amela, from BonjourAmela nominated me for the Liebster Award the lil' cutie. I was so blessed when I saw her little Twitter notification come through. After seeing the whole realm of Instagram covered in artsy photos of avocados - I thought I would give it a try. Which, if you know me, is a big deal. I'm definitely a very fussy eater, but in the past few months I've been trying my hardest to explore different foods.

Hello again, three posts this week - aren't you all lucky. Well, I can hardly take credit for this one. However, this is a post from a lovely girl I met whilst studying at university. Ellie has such a kind heart, and like me, left university during Christmas. She's kindly written a lovely piece for my blog, all about expectations and her experience with the university process. She has a wonderful writing style and deserves some recognition.

Let's Talk Mental Health - #BeBrave

Wednesday 6 January 2016

I started my blog and thought that it would be a brilliant pastime that I could focus my attention on, since leaving university, and I love it. It's a space where I can have long rambly rants about things I'm passionate about, whether that be beauty products, lifestyle changes or mental health. I soon realised shortly after joining the blogging world that I wanted to spread awareness surrounding issues with mental health.

That's So Last Year

Sunday 3 January 2016

(Source: Kaboompics)

Can somebody, ANYBODY, please tell me where 2015 went? Is it just me or did it just seem to fly by?

I can't believe we're well into 2016 already - time is just disappearing, and I don't like it. Although, I'm pretty glad to be seeing the back of last year if I'm really honest. Now, I'm not one of these 'NEW YEAR, NEW ME', gonna get uber skinny, go to the gym everyday, eat healthier types of people. I've never really stuck to any of my New Years Resolutions anyway. But this year, I think, don't quote me, but I'm going to try and stick to some small changes in my life. This post was inspired by a blogger I love Leanne Woodfull, who has done a post about making realistic resolutions and implementing the hashtag: HappyIs2016
