My Top Drugstore Products in 2015

Friday, 25 December 2015

As the year draws to an end, I thought I would share some of my favourite drugstore products of 2015 with you guys. I love trying new products, and I'm a sucker for any blogger suggestions, so I'd love to hear about your best beauty buys of 2015!

1. L'Oreal True Match Foundation

Now this product is an oldie, but a goodie! Now it's no secret in the beauty world that this foundation is a supposed dupe for the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk, and at £9.99 I couldn't help but snap this up! L'Oreal actually reformulated the product this year, and I can honestly say I've been reaching for this foundation daily. It's a super blendable formula, making the product so easy to work with. It's easy to build up the coverage of the foundation, and my tip for a more medium coverage is to apply this product with a Beauty Blender - it gives such a wonderful finish!

2. Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Palette

2015 saw the rise of contouring thanks to Kimmy K, and since I'm hardly a make-up artist splashing out money on the sought after Anastasia Beverly Hills Pro Series Contour Kit was something I was not prepared to do. SO, when I stumbled across this wonderful brand I was delighted when I found a super affordable dupe. Priced at only £8.00 it's an absolute steal. It contains 8 different powders, with shades for contouring and highlighting - what more can a girl want? It has a huge mirror also, which makes this palette great for travelling!

3. Garnier Micellar Water

Now girls, we all know how much effort it can be to take off your make up after a super long day. I picked up this little gem on offer whilst at Boots and haven't looked back! This product makes taking off your make-up super quick, and simple. Just a few drops of this onto a cotton pad, and you're away! It's also really soft on your skin, making the product even more loveable, so you can throw those drying make-up wipes away now.

4. Seventeen Doll'd Up Mascara

I grabbed this mascara whilst it was on offer at Boots - and boy I'm glad I did. It has been my go-to mascara ever since! I was apprehensive to try this product as it has a curved wand, but it makes my lashes so much more fuller, and the bristles make it easy to get into that lash line without smudging. It makes my lashes look brilliant every time - and I'd advise you all to try it, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

5. Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Night Treatment Gel

I'm definitely very lazy when it comes to skincare, I mean, really lazy. But, I picked up this treatment gel when my face was giving me a hard time with breakouts. You don't need a lot of this product, and I just put it on after clearing my face of makeup and voila! I love any tea tree based products, and this one really does work. When I wake in the morning, my face is noticeably less red and my pores feel a lot tighter. I would highly recommend any of the tea-tree products in this range at Boots if you're prone to problematic skin.

6. The Body Shop - Aloe Soothing Night Cream

Again, lazy girl issues. This product is great to just put on before bed and let it do it's magic overnight. The cooling agents in the aloe is brilliant if your skin is feeling a bit worse for wear, which around winter my skin is desperately crying for attention. There's no nasty added extras in the product such as preservatives or fragrances, making it perfect for sensitive skin!

7. Fudge Urban Miracle Ends

Along with dry skin, my hair is also prone to feeling dry, especially in the winter. This product is very lightweight, and just before blow drying I add a smidge through the ends of my hair. Not only does this product add extra conditioning, but it works on sealing those dead ends AND smells incredible. It's also on offer at Superdrug for just £3.99!
